                   SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 2, 2007 – The Open Group, a vendor- and  technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global  interoperability within and between enterprises, today announced the plenary  agenda and preliminary lineup of speakers for its Enterprise Architecture  Practitioners Conference, to be held January 29th–31st,  2007 at the Marriott San Diego Mission  Valley in San Diego. The Open Group’s Enterprise Architecture  Practitioners Conferences, now in their fourth year, are globally recognized  events created by and for enterprise architecture practitioners to examine a  wide variety of topics that are impacting the profession.  
                  In addition to a special focus on  SOA, the San Diego  event also will address other aspects of enterprise architecture, providing  valuable insight into best practices, standards, tools and technologies and  serving as a venue for practicing enterprise architects to come together and  share their unique experiences.  
                  The conference will feature three  days of best-in-class speakers, programs and practical sessions for attendees,  including a keynote address entitled: “Business Value and Challenges of SOA” given  by John Whitridge, VP, Enterprise Architecture at Marriott International. Practical  sessions and case study presentations will also be delivered by an impressive  lineup of senior IT leaders and enterprise architects from global organizations,  including Accenture; Con-way EDS; General Motors; IBM; Intel; Intuit; Lockheed  Martin; MITRE; NEC; Nissan Motor; Raytheon; SAP; and Systinet (a division of  HP); among many others. In addition, the plenary session will include an SOA  Innovation panel moderated by InfoWorld’s  Executive Editor Eric Knorr and comprised of leading SOA solutions providers.
