                    SAN FRANCISCO, CA – January 6, 
                    2004 – Dawn Meyerriecks, Principal Director for 
                    GIG Enterprise Services at the Defense Information Systems 
                    Agency (DISA) of the US Department of Defense, will give opening 
                    keynote address at The Open Group’s conference “Boundaryless 
                    Information Flow: Open Standards and Certification”. 
                    Meyerriecks will speak about the role of open standards and 
                    certification and their importance to DISA, and to the future 
                    of DoD’s GIG Enterprise Services. The conference will 
                    be held in San Diego, CA, February 2-6, 2004. 
                     
                     
                     
                    The Open Group is a vendor-neutral and technology-neutral 
                    consortium, which drives the creation of Boundaryless Information 
                    Flow™ that will enable access to integrated information 
                    within and between enterprises based on open standards and
