                   SAN FRANCISCO, October 9, 2007 – The Open Group, a  vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global  interoperability within and between enterprises, today announced that Lauren C.  States, vice president of skills and capabilities, IBM Client Value Team, will  be a featured keynote speaker at its 16th Enterprise Architecture  Practitioners Conference. Additionally, many enterprise architecture experts  and industry leaders have been added to the speaker lineup for the conference,  to be held October 22nd–26th, 2007 at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest,  Hungary.
                   The Open Group has also added speakers  to the conference’s parallel streams, in which Security Architecture, along  with enterprise architecture, TOGAF, SOA and certification, will be discussed. New  parallel stream presenters include Michael Beach, chief security designer,  Boeing, United States; Oliver Mark, worldwide EA community leader, Intel,  Germany; Frank Kroon, lead solution architect, Hewlett Packard, Netherlands;  and Jason Uppal, chief architect, QRS, Canada. Enterprise architecture experts  and leaders from companies worldwide such as Accenture, CGI Group, Capgemini, Cisco  Advisory Services, Getronics, Infosys Technologies, Oracle and Wipro  Technologies will deliver parallel stream addresses as well. 
                  The Open Group’s Enterprise  Architecture Practitioners Conferences, now in their fourth year, are globally  recognized events created by and for enterprise architecture practitioners to  examine a wide variety of topics that are impacting the profession. The Budapest  event will focus on several different aspects of Security Architecture and  examine their roles in delivering safe and secure enterprise architectures.
