SAN FRANCISCO, November 9, 2007 – The
Open Group, a vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused
on open standards and global interoperability within and
between enterprises, today announced that it has formed a
partnership with Moscow-based ERPNEWS in order to raise the
understanding of IT and Enterprise Architecture throughout
Russia.
Commenting on their agreement to co-operate in raising awareness
of the increasing importance of IT architectures, The Open
Group’s President & CEO Allen Brown said, “ERPNEWS is a trusted source of information for IT and business executives
throughout Russia. This arrangement allows The Open Group
to further increase its reach in the global IT and Enterprise
Architecture community.”
ERPNEWS Main Editor Alex Marinin added, “ERPNEWS sees
insufficient maturity of the Russian market in terms of information
about options for IT/business alignment. For this reason
we believe partnering with The Open Group will help provide
our numerous Russian readers with best practices on enterprise
architecture and ultimately fill the information gap that
current exists for IT professionals throughout the region.”
In 2008, ERPNEWS will cover four Enterprise Architecture
Practitioners Conferences - in San Francisco, CA; Glasgow,
UK; Chicago, IL; and Munich, Germany. In particular, editorial
focus will be given to TOGAF 8 and The Open Group’s
IT Architect Certification (ITAC) program.
ERPNEWS is a Russian informational agency providing news
and analysis about automation management systems for today’s
enterprise. Objectiveness is the main mission of ERPNEWS
and the most complicated as well. ERPNEWS holds in respect
all IT companies irrespective of their publicity. Further
