SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 12, 2006 – The Open Group, a
vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open
standards and global interoperability within and between
enterprises, today announced two new appointments to its
Governing Board. John Anton, president and CEO of Kestrel
Technology, LLC has been elected to serve as a Customer Council
Representative of the board. Sam Ceccola, deputy chief technology
officer for BEA Systems, has been elected to serve on the
board as a Supplier Council Representative. Additional Customer
Council representatives recently re-elected to the Governing
Board include Chairman Alan Doniger, chief technology officer
for Petrotechnical Open Standards Consortium, Inc. (POSC),
and Ben Calloni, senior specialist, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics
Company.
The Open Group’s Governing Board is comprised of representatives
from Platinum Member organizations, the Customer and Supplier
Councils, the president and CEO of The Open Group, and the
corporate secretary. All Governing Board members share control
and responsibility for The Open Group’s overall strategic
direction, governance and leadership.

been actively involved with our organization for many years
