MENLO PARK, Calif. “Baltimore Technologies are proactively working to standardize the use of PKI across a wide spectrum of technologies and to encourage interoperability between complementary products,” said Lisa Wilkinson, strategic technology manager of Baltimore Technologies. “The Open Group provides us the opportunity to work with other companies who share our commitment to driving standards that effect the PKI technology.”

The Security Program of The Open Group covers key areas of the industry, including confidentiality, integrity, accountability, non-repudiation, copy-protection, availability and privacy. In addition to technical standards, the program includes security policy and a framework for legal and regulatory issues.

Membership in The Open Group means joining a global network of buyers and suppliers who are developing frameworks, best business practices, and standards in key areas such as security, architecture, management, application integration, and mobile network computing.  Through the power of its membership, The Open Group is an organization in open, technology-independent standards that enables IT integration across the enterprise.
