                  SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 17, 2007 – The Open Group, a  vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global  interoperability within and between enterprises, today announced additional  speakers and sponsors for its Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference  being held Jan. 29th-31st, 2007 at the San Diego Marriott   Mission Valley.  Now in their fourth year, The Open Group Enterprise Architecture Practitioners  Conferences are globally recognized events created by and for enterprise  architects to examine a wide variety of topics impacting the profession. San Diego will represent  the 11th Open Group Architecture Practitioners Conference and will  feature a special focus on service-oriented architecture (SOA) and its impact  across all aspects of enterprise architecture. 
                  Recent additions to the agenda  include speaker David Houlding, PÉRADIGM enterprise architect from Perot  Systems, who will give a presentation entitled: “The Evolution of SOA and Web  2.0.” This will be followed by a panel discussion entitled “SOA 2.0” in which  Mr. Houlding, along with three other recognized experts in service-enabled  environments, will discuss and debate their predictions as to what’s around the  corner in terms of SOA trends and technologies. Other panelists include: Matt  Quinn, senior vice president, product strategy at TIBCO Software; Mats  Gejnevall, enterprise architect at Capgemini; and Stuart Boardman, director of  consulting services at CGI. Other new speakers added to the conference agenda  include enterprise architects from Boeing, Perot Systems and  PricewaterhouseCoopers.  
                  The Open Group also plans to reveal  the industry’s first collaborative maturity model for SOA adoption. Spearheaded  by corporate members of The Open Group, including BEA Systems, Capgemini, EDS,  HP and IBM, this initiative is focused on providing an industry-recognized  maturity model for advancing the adoption of SOA within and across businesses.
