SAN FRANCISCO, September 19, 2007 – The Open Group, a vendor- and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards and global interoperability within and between enterprises, today announced the plenary agenda and preliminary lineup of speakers for its 16th Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference, to be held October 22nd–26th, 2007 at the Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary.
The Open Group's Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conferences, now in their fourth year, are globally recognized events created by and for enterprise architecture practitioners to examine a wide variety of topics that are impacting the profession. The Budapest event will focus on several different aspects of Security Architecture and examine their roles in delivering safe and secure enterprise architectures.
The event already features a stellar lineup of plenary speakers, including Steve Whitlock, chief security architect, Boeing; Stephen Farrell, research fellow and lecturer, Trinity College, Dublin; Merike Kaeo, consultant, Double Shot Security; Adrian Seccombe, CISO and senior enterprise architect, Eli Lily; Guy Bunker, chief scientist, Symantec; and Carl Ellison, architect, Microsoft.

The three-day event will utilize real-world case studies to illustrate how security architectures can and must evolve to meet the challenges for secure information sharing that today’s agile computing business operations demand. Plenary day sessions will cover the business benefits of evolving security architectures and highlight new approaches to creating architectures for secure computing. The agenda also includes parallel tracks on Security; Enterprise Architecture and TOGAF; and Service-Oriented Architectures.
