Sage Research President to Highlight Service Level Agreements at The Open Group's "Boundaryless Information Flow: The Role of Web Services" Conference

Natick, MA and San Francisco, CA - June 25, 2002 - Kathryn Korostoff, founder and President of Sage Research, will address "SLAs: Evolving Customer Requirements and Expectations for Boundaryless Information Flow and Service Delivery" at The Open Group's conference on "Boundaryless Information Flow: The Role of Web Services," to be held in Boston July 22-26. The presentation will deliver a real-world perspective about how Service Providers can both meet emerging needs and differentiate their offerings through SLAs related to service performance, provisioning, and other parameters.

"Customers have increased their service expectations-more and more, they are demanding comprehensive, customizable SLAs as a condition for purchase," said Korostoff. "Having a strong SLA offering in place, and being able to demonstrate conformance, increasingly means the difference between competitive success and failure."

Kathryn Korostoff has been analyzing network-related technology and market trends for over 15 years. She leads a team of research professionals at Sage that has recently conducted studies on IP Telephony, IP-based VPNs, mobile IP, Service Level Agreements and wireless LANs. Since the mid-1980s, Kathryn has published over 100 articles in leading publications. Prior to founding Sage in 1993, Kathryn held market research and product management positions at NBI, International Data Corporation and Motorola Codex.
