SAN FRANCISCO, June 27, 2006 – The Open Group, a vendor-
and technology-neutral consortium focused on open standards
and global interoperability within and between enterprises,
today announced the agenda for the IT Architecture Practitioners
Conference being held July 17th-19th at the Hyatt Regency
Coral Gables in Miami. Now in its third year, The Open Group’s
IT Architecture Practitioners Conference is a globally recognized
event created by and for IT architecture practitioners to
engage in interactive discussions about a wide variety of
topics impacting the profession, such as SOA, architecture
disciplines, architecture team development, and setting up
an architecture practice. The Miami conference will examine
these IT architecture topics with a focus on further defining
a common set of core competencies for individuals involved
with professional architecture.
The Open Group’s IT Architecture Practitioners conference
will feature three days of best in class speakers, programs
and practical sessions for attendees. The event includes
an impressive lineup of industry leaders including a keynote
address from Len Fehskens, leader of worldwide architecture
profession office, HP Services at Hewlett-Packard and opening
