Presentation
EA in the Context of a Services Oriented Enterprise
The presentation defines enterprise architecture as the infrastructure within which an organization aims to effectively realize its vision and mission, emphasizing that enterprise architecture spans organizational and systems architecture. We discuss the vision and requirements for a services oriented enterprise (SOE) as an example reference enterprise architecture as well as the appropriate technology support for an SOE in the form of the suite of services oriented architecture (SOA) technologies. Finally we look at business process design in the context of an SOE, providing an overview of the URDAD methodology for technology neutral business process design.
