education and certification program to support TOGAF 9.

levels to certification, denoted Level 1 and Level 2. Level 2 contains

What does the upgrade exam comprise of?
The TOGAF 8 - 9 Advanced Bridge Exam contains Two sections, each with a pass mark 60%,
and each has to be passed in order to obtain an overall pass.
The first section is 20 simple multiple choice questions covering the Level 1 learning outcomes. To obtain a pass for this section requires 12 or more points out of a maximum of 20.
The second section is identical to the TOGAF 9 Part 2 exam covering the
Level 2 learning outcomes, and consists of eight
complex scenario based questions with gradient scoring. To obtain
a pass for this section requires 24 or more points out of a maximum of 40 to pass.

What are the eligibility requirements to take the upgrade?
A candidate must have been TOGAF 8 Certified in order to be eligible to sit the
TOGAF 8 - 9 Advanced Bridge examination.
Candidates should either have a current entry on the TOGAF 8

or the candidate should provide a copy of their certificate.
Is attendance at a training course mandatory?
No its optional. You can prepare by self study or attending a course.
Attendance at an accredited course offers the benefits of a curriculum
and training organization that has been assessed by The Open Group
and includes the examination with the course (either sitting the
exam at the training center or provision of a Prometric voucher).

As part of the package of attending the qualifying course, the training organization
may offer facilities to take the examination, or may supply vouchers for you to take
the examination at an authorized examination center.

How do I locate a test center?
If you attend an accredited course then the examination may be given as
part of the course (check with your course provider), otherwise you
can attend a Prometric test center.

How much does certification cost?
See the fee schedule. Please note that for examinations
at Prometric test centers local taxes may apply. If you attend an
accredited training course, the course fee will include the exam
or provide a voucher code to sit the examination at a Prometric

My TOGAF8 certification has expired can I still upgrade?
Yes, you need to have the prior qualification of TOGAF 8 Certified,
irrespective of whether you are currently on the register. See above
