1. Introduction

This document is a guide for suppliers1 who want to submit products, services or individuals for certification within the TOGAF Certification Program. TOGAF Certification occurs using an online web certification system (see Section 1.3). This document guides you through all the steps required for certification.

Note

This document is not intended for individuals who wish to register to become TOGAF Certified by examination. The Quick Step Guide to Individual Certification should be consulted.

Certification is given to products, services or individuals that have been certified by The Open Group as having demonstrated their conformance to the applicable Conformance Requirements. The detailed requirements for conformance are identified in the relevant Product Standards.

The Certification Policy governs certification. The Certification Agreement covers the terms and conditions of the certification service, the warranty of conformance and the terms and conditions for use of the TOGAF Certification Logo. You must agree to the terms and conditions outlined in both these documents prior to certification. For your convenience, significant highlights of the certification process are outlined below, and the following sections give more comprehensive information.

  1. The Certification Authority is The Open Group, LLC.
  2. A product, service or individual will be certified and entered on the certification register once the Certification Authority is satisfied that the product, service or individual meets the applicable Conformance Requirements and all other requirements, including formally agreeing to all the required terms.
  3. A license to use the TOGAF certification logo in connection with the product, service or individual will be granted when certification is achieved.
  4. A certified product or service is subject to re-certification on a periodic basis as stated in the Certification Policy.
  5. All product information supplied to the Certification Authority will be treated as confidential, as required by the Certification Agreement.
  6. The Open Group Certification Authority may, from time to time, request proof that the product, service or individual remains in compliance with the requirements outlined in the Conformance Requirements, as required by the Certification Agreement.

At the end of this document is a Certification Checklist to help you make sure that your registration is complete.

You may also want to read the applicable Quick Step Guides to TOGAF Certification for the Product Standard you are interested in. These are available from http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/docs/primer/.

Note 1: A supplier might be a certified training organization registering a course or batches of certified individuals, an organization providing professional services, or a tools vendor.
Note 2: In the event of any conflicts, this guide defers to the Certification Policy, and the Certification Agreement

1.1 Referenced Specifications

The TOGAF specifications currently referenced for the TOGAF certification program are:

  • TOGAF Documentation, December 2000, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Version 7 (I911), published by The Open Group.
  • TOGAF Documentation, December 2003, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Version 8.1 (I9nn), published by The Open Group.

These are referenced by the Product Standards (see Section 2.1.2).

You should be familiar with these specifications prior to commencing certification. See Section 1.3 for information on obtaining a copy of the specification.

1.2 Summary of Certification Documents

This section includes a list of all the certification documents and their purpose.

To become familiar with this certification program, you should read the following program documents:

The Certification Policy
This document is the foundation of the program, providing information on the classes of certification within the program, what it means to be certified, what is required to get a product, service or individual certified and how to make sure that a product, service or individual remains certified. See Section 2.1.2 for further information.

The Product Standards
The Product Standards should then be read to understand the detailed conformance requirements against which a product, service or individual can be certified. See Section 2.1.2 for further information.

The Certification Agreement
The Certification Agreement defines the certification service and the legal commitment to the conditions of the service. See Section 2.6 for further information.

The Guide to Certification (this document)
This document is a guide for suppliers who want to certify products, services or individuals and provides detailed information on the steps required to take to achieve certification.

Conformance Statement Questionnaires
A questionnaire to be completed during certification. It contains a structured set of questions which when answered describe the way in which a product, service or individual meets the Conformance Requirements. It also precisely identifies the product, service or individual. See Section 3.2 for further information.

2. How to Achieve Certification

This guide details the steps you are required to take to achieve certification, and provides information on how to perform each of these steps.

The process involves:

  • Understanding the certification program and process
  • Preparing for certification
  • Applying for certification
  • Submission of Supporting Evidence

2.1 Understanding the certification program

To become familiar with the program, you should read the following program documents:

  • The Certification Policy
  • The Product Standards

2.1.1 The Certification Policy

It is best to start with the Certification Policy, which is the foundation of the program. It provides information on the what can be certified in the program, what it means to be certified, what is required to get a product, service or individual certified and how to make sure that a product, service or individual remains certified.

The Certification Policy describes certification for products, services and individuals meeting the conformance requirements as specified in a Product Standard (see Section 2.1.2).

2.1.2 The Product Standards

The Product Standards should then be read to understand the detailed conformance requirements against which a product, service or individual can be certified. Product Standards provide a mapping between certification, the TOGAF specifications and the indicators of compliance required to demonstrate conformance.

The current Product Standards that products can be certified against are:

  • TOGAF 7 Certified
  • TOGAF 7 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 7 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 7 Training
  • TOGAF 8 Certified
  • TOGAF 8 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 8 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 8 Training

You should review Section 3, Conformance of the Certification Policy and the Product Standards and identify those against which you would like to have a product, service or individual certified.

2.2 Confidentiality

Your details, including those of the product, service or individual undergoing certification, are confidential between you and the Certification Authority. This is effective once you accept the Certification Agreement, which is a prerequisite to registering a product, service or individual.  The Certification Authority does not make any certification information available to any third party, including employees, consultants or members, without the written permission of the supplier.

Upon successful completion of the certification process, the certified product, service or individual will be included in the publicly available Certification Register at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/register.html. However, to allow for time lag to launch a certified product or service, you may request that certification remain confidential for up to 6 months from the date of written notification by the Certification Authority that a product, service or individual has achieved certification. A request that the certification remain confidential can be made in the final step of the registration process (see Section 3.6 below). See Section 12.3 of the Certification Policy for further information.

2.3 Preparing for Certification

You should read the applicable Product Standard for the product you are considering certifying, referring to the Conformance Requirements and Indicators of Compliance section to identify the requirements you will need to meet. In some cases this requires that your organization has an appropriate TOGAF Commercial License (see Section 2.5).

2.3.1 Problems and Problem Reporting

If you have problems with meeting a requirement for certification, please check the Frequently Asked Questions file at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/docs/faq.html.

If you still have a problem but are certain that your product or service conforms to the specifications, please check the Problem Report information database held at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/PR. The online Problem Report database contains known information on existing bugs and interpretations of the TOGAF specification(s).  The issue may already be resolved by an existing Interpretation, or by an agreed Certification System Deficiency.  If it is not, please raise a new Problem Report, see http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/PR.

For general questions related to certification, but not related to the TOGAF specifications, you can email the Certification Authority fully describing the problem. Please note that the Certification Authority helpdesk only handles general questions and is not able to address interpretations of the TOGAF specifications.

2.4 Certification

Certification is a formal process.  You, as a supplier of a certified product, service of individual warrant and represent by accepting the Certification Agreement that the product, service or individual meets all the conformance requirements applicable to the Product Standard against which it is certified and if applicable, implements all the features claimed in the Conformance Statement.

The obligations, terms and conditions of certification are fully set out in the following documents:

  • the Certification Policy
  • the Certification Agreement

These documents are available via the TOGAF Certification Web Page at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/.

It is necessary to read these documents before you start the certification process in order to fully understand the policies and requirements.

2.5 The TOGAF Commercial License

If you wish to use submit a product or service for certification to one of the following Product Standards a TOGAF Commercial License is required.

Note

Obtaining an appropriate license is a prerequisite to being able to register your company to allow registrations for the following Product Standards.

  • TOGAF 7 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 7 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 7 Training
  • TOGAF 8 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 8 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 8 Training

For information on obtaining a TOGAF Commercial License see the links on the left panel of the certification web site.

The type of commercial license required depends on the version of TOGAF, so for example TOGAF 7 Product Standards require a TOGAF 7 Commercial License, whereas the TOGAF 8 Product Standards require either a TOGAF 8 or TOGAF 8.1 Commercial License.

If your organization is a member of The Open Group's Architecture Forum you can obtain an Annual Commercial License for TOGAF for no additional charge after completing the additional appropriate paperwork for the license.

The TOGAF Commercial License Agreement is between you and The Open Group and requires signature. The TOGAF Commercial License agreement only needs to be entered into once per organization. It needs to be renewed annually. When it is in place multiple products or services can be submitted for certification to the above Product Standards.

2.6 The Certification Agreement

You are required to agree to the Certification Agreement for each registration.

The Certification Agreement is between you and the Certification Authority. It defines the certification service and the legal commitment to the conditions of the service. This is also where you warrant conformance of a product, service or individual to the relevant Product Standard.

Note

The Certification Agreement is a web based agreement. When you click the "I accept" button you are indicating that you accept the terms and conditions.

2.7 Re-branding an already Certified Product

The TOGAF Certification Policy includes the concept of Re-branding an already certified TOGAF Tool Support or TOGAF Training product. This allows for technically identical products to be delivered by multiple suppliers.

Re-branding a Certified TOGAF Tool Support Product

This can be useful if you wish to market a third-party product under your own brand identity and want to use the TOGAF Certification Logo in association with the Product.

Re-branding a Certified TOGAF Training Product

This can be useful if your organization wishes to deliver a certified TOGAF Training course but does not want to develop the course or undergo the full process of having original course materials certified. In this instance re-branding allows you to simply state that what you are submitting is identical to an already certified TOGAF Training product and that you accept the obligations for an organization with a certified TOGAF Training product.

3. Registration

3.1 Completing The TOGAF Commercial License Agreement

You can skip this section if you are an individual registering for the TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified Product Standards.

If the Product Standard you are certifying against requires that you have a TOGAF Commercial License (see Section 2.5), you must submit a completed TOGAF Commercial License Agreement to The Open Group. This is a prerequisite , without completion of which you will not be able to enter the web certification system for the full range of product standards.

You should download the agreement from the link provided within the web certification system, and follow the instructions for submitting to The Open Group. Once you have been approved your company will be added to the list of companies who can register themselves. You are recommended to notify the Certification Authority that you have signed a license. The Certification Authority will then be able to followup with The Open Group's legal department to find out when the TOGAF Commercial License has been countersigned.

3.2 The Conformance Statement

You can skip this section if you are registering for the TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified Product Standards.

The next step is to complete a Conformance Statement to describe your product or service and how it meets the conformance requirements. Your Conformance Statement(s) will be linked into the Certification Register entry for the product or service once it is certified. Template Conformance Statement Questionnaires are available from http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/docs/conformance.html.

The currently available Conformance Statement Questionnaires are:

  • TOGAF 7 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 7 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 7 Training
  • TOGAF 8 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 8 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 8 Training

Note

No Conformance Statement is required for the TOGAF 7 Certified and TOGAF 8 Certified Product Standards, since all the required information is input directly to the web certification system.

You must complete the relevant questionnaire to create a Conformance Statement for your product. See Sections 1.2, Section 2 and Section 3.3 of the Certification Policy for further information on the purpose of the Conformance Statement.

Conformance Statement Questionnaires are provided as html templates. You should download the template and edit the html, retaining the existing layout.  You must submit the completed Conformance Statement in html format to the Certification Authority using the web certification system (see section 3.6). You can submit your Conformance Statement after you have created a company account and started registration within the web certification system (see sections 3.3 and 3.4). Conversion to other formats besides html, or changes to the template in sections other than those allocated for Responses are not acceptable and will result in the Certification Authority rejecting your submission.

The Conformance Statement Questionnaire contains Product Standard specific questions that must be answered. Submission of the Conformance Statement occurs during the registration process.

3.3 The Web Certification System and Submitting Initial Certification Information

Applying for certification requires you to submit some initial information via the web.  You can enter only as a designated contact for a company to register product standards or as an individual if you pass the examination to complete your certification.

The available Product Standards for registration dependent on your role are summarized below:

Your Role Product Standards Available for Registration
(a) Individual not registered as a designated contact for a company accepted into the program
  • Completion of TOGAF 8 Certified by exam
(b) Designated contact for a company accepted into the program
  • TOGAF 7 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 8 Professional Services
  • TOGAF 7 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 8 Tool Support
  • TOGAF 7 Training
  • TOGAF 8 Training
(c) Designated contact for a company accepted into the program with a TOGAF 7 Training Certified Product
  • As per (b) plus TOGAF 7 Certified (training provider batch registration)
(d) Designated contact for a company accepted into the program with a TOGAF 8 Training Certified Product
  • As per (b) plus TOGAF 8 Certified (training provider batch registration)

3.3.1 Accessing the Web Certification System

The Certification Authority provides a web based certification system through which products, services or individuals can be submitted for certification. The entry point to this is at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/.

Prior to use of the Web Certification system you are recommended to browse the Web Certification primer presentation at http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/docs/primer/.

The first step is to select "Enter", which then gives you an intermediate screen with various help information, from which you can then proceed to access the secure web server.

3.3.2 Submitting Initial Certification Information

Individuals

As noted in Section 3.3 above, you can enter the system in a number of roles. The minimal role is as an individual not designated as a contact for a company accepted into the TOGAF certification program. For this you simply need a valid username and password on the Certification Authority's web server.

If you don't yet have an account, you may obtain one from the certification web site by selecting "Enter secure site" to enter the secure web site (if you have not already done so), then selecting "New User" to create your username and password.

Once you have your username, from the secure web site, select "Login" to login. See Section 3.4 for registration within the web certification system.

Registering Contacts for a Company

To register products, services or individuals on behalf of a company, you must be registered as the designated Authorized, Technical or Alternate contact for that company. Company registration and that of its designated contacts have a number of steps that must be completed before you will be able to proceed. Your login will not offer you the full range of Product Standards until all the following steps have been successfully completed.

Please take the following steps to register your company and its contacts:-

  1. You will need a username and password on the Certification Authority's web server for identification purposes. If you don't yet have an account, you may obtain one from the certification web site by selecting "Enter secure site" to enter the secure web site (if you have not already done so), then selecting "New User" to create your username and password.
  2. Next you will need to select your company name from those who have TOGAF Commercial Licenses and accept the terms and conditions of the Certification program, by accepting the Certification Agreement, for entry into the system. To do this you need to select "New Company Account".

If you do not have a TOGAF Commercial License this needs to be obtained before you can proceed.

  3. To register your company, you need to select your company name and specify the name and contact information for the following contacts:
    • The Authorized Signatory who will authorize your company's registration. The Authorized Signatory must be someone who is authorized to enter into legal commitments on behalf of the company.
    • The Technical Contact, who will be the primary contact for all certification-related issues.
    • An optional Alternate Contact, who will be the back-up for the Technical Contact and also have access to the web certification system to register items
    • The Financial Contact, who will be the contact for any payment and/or invoicing issues
    • An optional Marketing Contact, who will be the contact for any marketing-related certification issues

Note: The Authorized Contact, the Technical Contact and the Alternate Contact, if specified, are the only users who will have the ability to register products or services using the web certification system.

  4. The web based certification system will then send electronic mail to your designated Authorized Signatory who must respond by electronic mail to the Certification Authority. The Certification Authority will verify the response and, if the requirements are met, accept your organization for entry into the certification system.

When the above is completed and the Certification Authority has responded to your designated Authorized Signatory with notification that your application has been accepted, your Technical and Alternate contacts will receive confirmation by electronic mail from the web certification system that your company account has been activated. At this point, your Technical and Alternate contacts will be able to progress to the next stage which is accessing the web certification system to commence registrations.

3.4 Registering a Product, Service or Individual within the Web Certification System

If you want to re-brand an already certified product skip ahead to Section 3.4.1.

When you register a product, service or individual you are required to provide details including the name of the product, service or individual, and for products version or release information, for which conformance has been demonstrated.

You must select the Product Standard that the product, service or individual is being registered for.

After you select the "Select the Product Standard" button, you are then presented with the Certification Agreement, which must be accepted in order to proceed with this registration.

The next screen presented is then specific to the Product Standard. If you wish to send any notes to the Certification Authority about this registration you may do so on this form. Such notes are held confidential between you and the Certification Authority. You may also enter a URL for this registration which would be presented on the Certification Register.

If you are an individual registering for TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified you must enter a 9 digit self-registration code. This code can be obtained by email from the Certification Authority. After accepting the certification agreement you are returned to your home page. You should select the "Next" icon for your registration to select the course from the certified training course list and enter the date you completed it. The system will send for confirmation to the organization whose course you have selected. Upon confirmation you will be informed by email that you can then proceed to final registration. You should skip ahead to Section 3.6 below.

3.4.1 Re-branding a Product

Note: This is only applicable to the TOGAF Tool Support and TOGAF Training Product Standards.

In order to re-brand an already certified product select the "Submit a Re-branded Product" link. You will then need to select the existing product that you wish to re-brand. A screen is then presented for you to input the details including the name of the product and the version or release number.

If you wish to send any notes to the Certification Authority about this registration you may do so on this form. Such notes are held confidential between you and the Certification Authority. You may also enter a URL for this registration which would be presented on the Certification Register.

After you select the "Register a Re-branded Product" button, you are then presented with the Certification Agreement, which must be accepted in order to proceed with this registration.

3.5 Uploading your Conformance Statement

You can skip this section if you are registering for the TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified Product Standards.

The certification system will guide you through the steps that you need to follow to register a product, service or individual to be certified. For all Product Standards, apart from TOGAF 7 Certified and TOGAF 8 Certified, the first document that you must upload to the certification system is the Conformance Statement for your product (see section 3.2)

If you are re-branding an already certified product the Conformance Statement must be identical to that of the original supplier apart from the supplier name and product name and version information.

3.6 The Final Step - Confirming your Submission & Payment

Once you have completed input of all the required information, the web based certification system allows you to confirm your submission details and then proceed with the payment.

The certification system will display a form into which you enter the final details that are required to submit the product , service or individual for certification. This is done in two stages:

  • This form allows you to check all the information relating to your company (if applicable), the product, service or individual and the registration. It is divided into sections; each one needs confirmation from you that it is correct. You can also signify that you wish the registration to be kept confidential prior to product launch. If any of the information needs correcting you can, at this point, update it.
  • The second and final part is to affirm your commitment to the terms and conditions of the program as stated in the Certification Agreement and the additional committments as required by the Product Standard. The additional committments are listed in the table below:
Product Standard Additional Affirmation of Committment Required
TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified (individual self-registration)
    • None
TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified (training provider batch-registration)
    • Confirmation that the candidates submitted have demonstrated satisfactory participation and committment to the course
TOGAF XX Professional Services (where XX is 7 or 8)
    • Agree to abide the TOGAF XX Code of Practice
    • Commit to use of only TOGAF XX Certified practitioners in provision of professional services registered to the TOGAF XX Professional Services Product Standard
    • Have a training policy for TOGAF XX Certified practitioners
    • Commit to maintain a register with The Open Group of the names of all personnel providing the TOGAF XX Professional Services.
TOGAF XX Tool Support (where XX is 7 or 8)
    • None
TOGAF XX Training (where XX is 7 or 8)
    • Commit to use of only TOGAF XX Certified instructors in provision of live courses registered to the TOGAF XX Training Product Standard
    • Commit to register names of individuals who have satisfactorily completed a TOGAF XX Training certifed course and wish to be registered within two weeks of completion of the course
    • Commit only to register with The Open Group the names of individuals who demonstrate satisfactory participation and committment to a course

Certification fees are due at this stage. See Section 3.6.1 below.

3.6.1 Payment

Payment is required to complete a full submission for registration. Payment may be either by credit card at the time of registration, or by purchase order, check or wire transfer received by the Certification Authority in advance of registration.

Note: The Certification Authority will not process the registration until payment has been received.

See http://www.opengroup.org/togaf/cert/docs/Fee_Schedule.html for the fee schedule. Please note that if you use a payment method other than by credit card, your submission cannot be processed until the payment is received by the Certification Authority.

3.7 Completion of Certification

If your submission for the TOGAF 7 Certified or TOGAF 8 Certified Product Standard is complete, you will be notified of successful certification within 6 business days.

If your submission is for one of the other Product Standards and is complete, you will be notified of successful certification within 10 business days.

If for any reason the submission was not complete, you will  be notified so that any corrections can be made and resubmitted. Such a resubmission needs to be done within one month unless an extension has been granted by the Certification Authority.  The initial fee covers one set of corrective actions.

The details of the certified product, service or individual will then be put on the Certification Register, which is a public document, unless you have requested that it remains confidential. To keep the certification confidential, this option must be selected in the web certification system at the time the product is submitted.

When a certification has been made public, you will be sent a URL from where you can download a certificate.

You should note that certification is valid for a defined period as stated in Section 9.1, Duration of Certification of the Certification Policy. At the end of that period, if applicable, if you wish the product or service to remain certified you will need to renew the certification. (See Section 4 below for more information.)

3.8 Appeals Process

You may appeal decisions made by The Open Group Certification Authority as stated in Section 11, Appeals Process of the Certification Policy. Any request for appeal should be sent by electronic mail to togaf-cert@opengroup.org . Receipt of such a request will be acknowledged within 6 working days by the Certification Authority and the appeals process invoked.

4. Renewals and Certification Entry Updates

4.1 The Renewals Process

A certified product, service or individual has a defined period for its initial certification, after which if the policy allows it, it must be renewed or the item will no longer continue to be certified. Normally, this is two years from the date of initial certificaton.

When a renewal is due the Certification Authority will notify you around two months in advance using electronic mail (so it is important to maintain your contact information). At any time, you may use the web based certification system to obtain the renewal dates for your certified register entries.

Renewal implies that the product or service continues to conform and that you will continue to support the product or provide the service for the duration of the renewal period.

Renewals are undertaken using the web based certification system. When you select the item to be renewed you will be presented with a web renewal form to complete.

You can then elect to renew for the next certification period or, at your option, elect for a shorter period.

TOGAF Certified Renewals

The possible paths for renewal for an individual who is TOGAF certified (in all cases renewal is for a two year period) are as follows:

  1. Direct with The Open Group
  2. Via their employer, if two or more individuals are being renewed then batch rates apply based on the total number of employees certified for the class of certification at the time of renewal
  3. Via a certified training organization, if two or more individuals are being renewed then batch rates apply based on the number of individuals in the batch being submitted for renewal

The fee banding for the batch rates is listed on the fee schedule. The minimum size of a batch is two individuals. As a reminder, renewal can take place early and the 2 year period is applied to the expiry date , not the date that renewal occurred, so if you renew one month before expiry, your next renewal is due in 25 months time. Similarly, if renewal occurs during the 30 day grace period, the 2 year period is based on the original expiry date not the date on which payment is received. Payments for batch renewals by certified training organizations can be made through the web certification system

4.2 Certification Updates

If you make any changes to the certified product, service , you may be required to re-certify as required by Section 8 of the Certification Policy. You should read that section thoroughly since it describes multiple scenarios related to changes to certified products, services and individuals, some of which require a certification related activity.

In some cases a complete "Full certification" is required since the update is equivalent to a new product or service so far as certification is concerned.

4.2.1 Maintenance Releases

If the change to your product qualifies as a maintenance release (as defined in Section 8 of the Certification Policy) you should contact the Certification Authority to inform them of the change.

You may request an update to your certification information to include the maintenance release. Depending on how you describe the maintenance release, this may be a wise thing to do so as to avoid marketplace confusion regarding which versions of your products are certified. Updates to a product's certification information for a maintainance release can be done by contacting the Certification Authority. The Certification Authority will change the product name on the Conformance Statement and in the Certification Register and issue a new certificate, if a certificate was previously issued.

4.2.2 Renaming a  Product

If you wish to rename your product (as defined in Section 8 of the TOGAF Certification Policy) then please contact the Certification Authority including the details of the required change and a written statement to the Certification Authority indicating that there have been no material changes to the certified product. The Certification Authority will change the product name on the Conformance Statement and in the Certification Register and issue a new certificate, if a certificate was previously issued.

If your product is a submission in progress and has not been submitted for audit to the Certificaton Authority, then renaming the product can be done using the web based certification system. Select the product that you wish to rename, the form with the product details including name and version will then presented for you to update. If you have submitted the product for audit please contact the Certification Authority.

4.2.3 Re-branding a Certified Product

If you wish to re-brand a product (as defined in Section 8 of the Certification Policy) you should find out whether you have the permission required for re-branding. Then proceed into the web based certification system as if you were certifying a new product, except that when you are asked to input information about the product you should select that this is a "Re-branded" product. You will then be presented with a web re-branded product form to complete.
